I have been searching Ancestry for years, a well paid up member , I have asked it for information today and I get the following
England & Wales, Civil Registration Death Index, 1916-2007
751
England and Wales, Death Index, 2007-2015
127
England & Scotland, Select Cemetery Registers, 1800-2016
1
Then I click on any of the above and get this message
Your Search for Mary returned zero good matches
Why?
We couldn't find any results that exactly matched the information you marked as 'Exact'. Learn more
What should you do?
* Try un-checking one or more 'Exact' boxes to show close matches even when no exact matches are found.
I have tried various ways but end up with NIL results, it is annoying to say the least as this is not he first time it has happened
Any help much appreciated

Hello louisa maud just seen the posts about good zero matches i too have been with Ancestry
for years and often get that reply.
Even when i have all the info that they have asked for on their form.
What can be done? did you ever get an answer from them?.
Regards tobyma123. :)

No, I think they wanted more information and I didn't get back to them, I prefer to speak to someone in person, it is a bit spasmodic, I just plod on but it is frustrating,

Hello louisa maud thanks for your reply prompt.
What a pain all the money we pay them.
Another of my gripes is they have all Irish counties except Down?.
Thank goodness for Roots chat and Family search.
I also have in RED this site not secure? i mean top of my page for Roots Chat.
Someone playing silly devils.

Yes, indeed, thank goodness for Rootschat, we are a friendly helpful bunch. I help and sometimes need help myself, it is surprising what another pair of eyes will see when one cannot see the wood for the trees themselves as the saying goes
Not noticed the not secure red alert, wonder what anyone else has to say about that
Happy Hunting

I use Google Chrome and I have this too. It's just pointing out that the site is not a secure site where you could enter sensitive info like credit card details - the address doesn't start with https and there's no padlock. It doesn't mean the site itself is unsafe.
