Is it too big an ask for someone to look up a marriage for the two people listed on the attached birth certificate please?
It would be prior to 1837

Try adding an AZ to the file name or similar. There is already a file with the same name on the site

John Hill married Sarah Salter at Kentisbeare on 9 Apr 1829. Witnesses look like William Pine and Charles Knight.

I am trying to locate a great grandfather.
Marriage cert in NZ says Edward Waters HALL born Devon aged 27 when married 1877.
I have never found a death cert.
However I decided to get a birth cert from UK for Edward HALL born 1850 Devon, has come back with what looks like HILL and parents John and Sarah nee Salter.
On BDM UK there are two mentions of possible great grandfather.
One as Edward Hill born Tiverton and the other as Edward HALL born Tiverton and both appear to be the same folio numbers etc
Any thoughts on this please? I am still trying to upload the birth cert i mentioned earlier and having no luck!

You would only be allowed to upload a small portion of the birth certificate, just the part that needs deciphering.
I am not sure why you are trying to upload it. It names Edwards parents as John Hill occupation Mason and Sarah formerly Salter

FreeBMD is showing the following possibilities:
Edward Hill; Sept Qtr 1849; St Germans Registration District
Edward Bartkett Hill; Dec qtr 1849; Newton Abbott RD
Edward Hall; June qtr 1850; Tiverton RD (vol 10, page 265)
Edward Hill; September qtr 1850; Tiverton RD (vol 10, page 256)
Edward Robinson Hill; June qtr 1851; Plymouth RD
Edward Hill; September qtr 1851; Newton Abbott RD
The 2 you mentioned are in different quarters, and have different page numbers.
BMD's are indexed by Year, Quarter, Registration District; Volume and Page No.
You need to quote all that information when ordering a certificate.

You are looking for an Edward Waters Hall. It is quite likely that a birth in 1850 was not registered.
When did Edward Walters Hall go to New Zealand. What information does his marriage give for his parents

The Edward Hill whose birth certificate you have appears to be still in England in 1881 and later - married to a Mary Ann - RG9 /2420 f128 p65

You are best to save your image as a .jpeg file, when you attach it to the post everyone will then be able to see it. Make sure that your filename is unique as each image posted has to have its own filename so "birth.jpeg" and "family.jpeg" etc will have already have been used.
