Post by: cold421 on Wednesday 15 August 18 06:01 BST (UK)
Hi, Does anyone know the location of Gladstone Terrace Matlock. I believe its somewhere around Jackson Road. I have relatives (wood and spencer) living at number 4 in 1939 and would like to visit to see if it matches a couple of photos we have.

Also im still looking for the location of sheriff villas, bakewell rd, matlock.

Thanks pete

I suggest "Walking" the route as recorded by the 1939 register checking for adjoining addresses/landmarks.

Gladstone Terrace appears to be on Jackson Road itself.

Looking at the census summary books the terrace appears to be near the Friends Meeting House shown on this old map https://maps.nls.uk/view/114588314#zoom=5&lat=5014&lon=3632&layers=BT
