I've been trying to trace this couple, born in Denbighshire, Wales. They are in the 1901 census in the Wrexham district, living in Gwersyllt. I can't find them after that until a passport application in 1922, in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
They had two children, Fanita (possibly Ethel Fanita) and Horace Jones, but I don't know where they were born, and I don't know when the couple emigrated.
There's a very confusing tree on Ancestry uk which I don't think is accurate! And I can't access some American records.
I don't know if Fanita - my mother's cousin - ever married. I do have a photo of her in the early 1970s and I've recently identified the place as Los Angeles. My mother visited twice from Britain and Fanita's address was in Port Huaneme 50 miles from there.
That's a long way from Connecticut and big gaps in my information....can anyone help?

Cas - thanks for these two, that's very helpful.
I now see there's a new reply, but I will have to check that out tomorrow - obviously I need to look harder at Familysearch! Thanks again.

Frank's manifest is indexed incorrectly also, or I would send you a link.
I have attached the image of the last residences of the party traveling together, since I'm sure I didn't get the Welsh locations correct. Maybe someone can read them and know where they are.
I have screenshots of Frank's and Emily's manifests and can email them to you if you like. Curious to know if she 'gave' herself the name Fanita or was born with the middle name?
Not in my experience has it been a North Wales name I have come across, but who knows...
Don't have access to US records, other than familysearch, would be interested if her birth registration or marriage is found, or included in any children's birth registrations to see if the name Fanita is included.
As said just curious...

Cas, there is no-one named Fanita in the 1901 or 1911 Welsh censuses.
My mother always called her Fanita as long as I can remember....but, this may connect with one other record. I googled 'Ethel Fanita Jones' and the one hit was
"Bibliographic information
Title Music in the Masques
Author Ethel Fanita Jones
Publisher University of Colorado, 1933"
This is my only and first source of her name Fanita.
- and it does tie in with the record from RJ137 of her master's degree at the University of Colorado.
She would have been 24 and it seems an improvement (as an author) on just Ethel Jones!
(Another of my family emigrating to the US started off as Mary Anne and changed to Marianne)
Thanks to everyone for the records.
RJ137, can you access any more of that newspaper article? Love to see more.
oldohiohome - this voyage sounds interesting. All of them except the New Southgate family (London) are from villages near Wrexham, North Wales (where my mother was born.)
That's Gwersyllt (pronounced Gwersilt), Rhosrobin and Summerhill.
John Thomas Tudor is probably a relative of my greatuncle Sam Tudor!
So Frank Jones travelled first and his wife and child followed in November.
Thanks all.

There is a photo of her connected to the newspaper article about her retirement - https://www.newspapers.com/clip/22882659/fanita_malone_retirement_with_picture

Oh yes, shellyesq - this is recognisable. My mother must have visited (her first visit with her second husband in 1967) just as she retired.
I did meet her once at my sister's house in Bristol (UK) and what I remember is that she and my mother talked and talked and talked, and my father joked that he wasn't sure if either was listening! But I wish now that I had listened more at the time....
I will try and get the 1970s photo from my sister and upload it.
Thanks again!

The Connecticut marriage index has an Ethel Jones who married a Raymond Smith in Bridgeport in 1942 - http://www.ctatatelibrarydata.org/marriage-records/ Maybe that's how she wound up being referred to as Fanita S. Malone? There are some Bridgeport city directories that have Fanita Jones Smith, widow of Raymond, as early as 1951.

I was wondering about the S. 'Fanita Jones Smith Malone' is a bit of a mouthful, isn't it?
I never heard of even one marriage, let alone two. Shame that Fanita's letters to my mother have not survived......
