I am very confused trying to establish Bridget's family. I have the marriage certificate of Bridget to William Revil 30 May 1870 in St Helens Prescot Lancashire. Her age is shown as 22 years which suggests she was born c1848. She is shown as Bridget Cane Widow? father Bartholomew McCabe deceased Car Proprieter. 1881 census for Prescot gives Bridget Revil's place of birth as Ireland (no town) age 28 surname transcribed as Nevil. Bridget died Prescot 29th July 1890 age 37.
Is Bridget shown as a widow in error?

I don't think this could be the correct family as he is shown as born in 1829 and Bridget was born about 1848. I have checked the Film number and there are no other births to a Bartholomew in that area between 1829 and 1852.

Trouble is they could live opposite each other on narrow road, and be in different townlands, and even different Parishes. ;D

Thank you both for all your hard work in finding these. I somehow need to find a Bridget with father Bartholomew before her marriage in 1870. This is not going to be easy.

It is interesting that there is a Bridget Cane shown in Kilkenny, that is where her husband William Revel seems to have come from

The street addresses may help by looking at neighbours too.
They could be in the same neighbourhood but mistranscribed.
It seems odd that you have a marriage in 1870 but their son’s birth is 1877 - a big gap.

Just found Mary Ann and John.
John died within a year but can’t find Mary Ann.
I can’t see a birth for Mary b 1880 but I think she is with her family in 1891, is that right?
What is the address for Mary Ann’s birth? Have you looked for that and the marriage addresses in the 1871 census?

I can’t see your family at all in 1871 which may have helped your research.
I can’t see all of Lyon Street but what I did see was ‘t helpful
