Hey guys.
I'm having some trouble locating my third great grandmother, Elizabeth Henwood (born circa 1826 in Steeple Langford to Thomas and Jane), in the census rolls from 1841. There appears to be two Henwood (might be Hinwood) families in this area around the time of the census. Any advice on how best to locate the correct family unit?
-
1841 Steeple Langford indexed as Hinwood as per original entry. All b Wiltshire
Thomas 40 ag labourer
Jane 45
Elizabeth 14
Ann 12
HO 107 piece 1167/7 folio 10 page 12
Who did Elizabeth marry and when? If it was before 1851 then she will be under her married name. Same with Ann
There is an Elizabeth Henwood marriage in 1849
-
Ongoing census suggest an Elizabeth Henwood married Simon West circa May 1849.
I have never been able to nail down an accurate Birth for her.
Death Elizabeth West 23 Dec 1887 South Newton Wilton Wilts.
-
Was Thomas's Wife Jane Fox or Jane Webb?

Hi guys,
Thank you for your responses. Elizabeth married Simon West, my 3rd great grandfather, in St Andrews' Church in South Newton on May 28th 1849. The father's names weren't provided.
Pinning her exact birthdate is also troublesome.

When a father's name is not provided on m/c or b/c it usually means the person was probably illegitimate :-\
Just want to confirm this is your Elizabeth on 1881/71/61 census
