I have Mary Ellen Vahey Birth 7 Aug 1909 - Cambridge, Mass, USA. Have 1930 census, father James Joseph Vahey dies 1935. Her mother was Mary Baggot (my line) she died 1919.
Can anyone give me info regarding above, like additional census, 1910/1940 census, marriage, travel etc. have a few hints on A**** but no sub to US.
Also brother James J Vahey born 27 April 1914. In Boston Mass, would like to know more about him also.

I think this might be the family in 1920, though the middle initials don't match. The father is James F. and the son is James L.

HOVASSE Of Everett, formerly of Chelsea, Oct. 13, 2001, after a brief illness Mary E. (Vahey) Age 92. Beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Ed" Hovasse. Devoted mother of L. J. McCarthy of Beverly, J. M. Gaff of Everett, C.J. Hovasse of CO, E.J. Hovasse of AZ and R.L. Hovasse of Burlington. Dear sister of the late James Vahey. Also lovingly survived by 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Funeral from the William R. Carafa & Son Home For Funerals, 389 Washington Ave, CHELSEA, on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 9 A M. Followed by a Funeral Mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Broadway, Chelsea at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited, visiting hours Tuesday only 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Mary was a member of the Chelsea Senior Citizen's and was involved in their knitting and ceramic groups.
