Just curious as to the Christian names of this man.

He appears in a number of places throughout New Zealand, including Timaru, Wellington and in 1935, Devonport.

At this stage I am only interested in identifying him please. I need to confirm whether or not he is "mine" although I suspect he is not........

1978 North Shore electoral roll has James N Waddell a medical practioner

Added and 1969

As we do have several with the name of J. N. Waddell on the tree, I just wanted to eliminate (or otherwise) this one.

So the one in Taieri of same name, likely the father, isn’t yours either. Shame.

Hi Minnie,

Just a little scratching to help or not :D

The 1937 James was a School Teacher, mother's maiden name Marion Noble, which is passed down to a couple of children.  Father James.

1988 James, mother's maiden name Margaret Palmer, Father John.  He is the 1895 one mentioned above.
