Title: Automated transcription - funny!

Sometimes, automated scanning/transcribing produces gibberish - sometimes you get an unexpected treasure.  This has to be one of my favourites (screenshot from FindMyPest)

I've often some good 'uns too, philipsearching.  The other day I saw a death notice - the deceased was the "hothead" of Mrs So-and-so.... instead of husband.

I remember receiving a business letter from abroad, which finished - where one would normally see 'Yours faithfully',  with 'Yours hoping with a wish to fill out'.

In today's Brisbane paper, there's a funeral notice for someone who, so says the notice, was the "long husband of...."
Doesn't say if she also had a short husband  ::)  ::)  ::) ::)

There's another thread somewhere for manual transcription errors (and probably one for odd spellings) which is worth looking at for a good giggle.

Philip
