Edward was born supposedly in Wramplingham ca 1545 but I have been unable to find anything on his birth, baptism etc. on line. He was rector of St. Peter and St Paul in Wramplingham 1568-1612 when he died. Married three times and had 12 or more children. His son John was my immigrant into America.

Greetings, and a warm welcome to Rootschat
Did you mean born c1545? It could be worth trying Ancestry.com to see if he's on the list of Oxford alumni - occasionally they have information. (As he was a cleric he may have attended a university)

Cambridge University Alumni
Edward Beale year admitted 1570
Ordained Deacon and Priest, 19 May 1582 at Rotherby Leicestershire
Ref ancestry
ADDED not necessarily your Edward Beale

Do you have the will of Edward Beale, located Norfolk Record Office, Norwich.
Edward Beale, clerk, Wramplingham 1612, ref: Will register Coker 231
There is another Edward Beale of Little Ellingham 1565-1569 ref: ANW Will register Mendham fo 200
Fees for copies are reasonable and the will of the elder Edward Beale may have some clues.

Added: Born 1445? Died 1612? That doesn't seem right. I'm not very good at sums but my calculator tells me that makes him 167 when he died. :o

Edited the original post with 1545 date, fat fingers I guesss.

Thank you Phillip, I have edited the post to reflect the correct dates. I have checked alumni pages etc. but I do not think he graduated.

Thank you for the reply, I will check into getting a copy of the will. I had a cousin who had it but could find no one to translate from old English or Latin whichever it was in. He has since passed on so I do not know what happened to his copy.

I had researched this one before but the dates overlap with the ones shown of him being in Wramplingham.

It may be a red herring but a HENRY Beales married Elizabeth HARVY 14 Oct 1576 Wramplington
I see your Edward married Marye Harvy 06 Jun 1572
Often siblings married siblings.
Edward named a Son HENRY who was buried 21 Apr 1596 (Father a Clerk)
Henry above who married Elizabeth was buried 01 Apr 1623 no age given.
All above on FreeREG
Only Edward/Henry I can find that seem to match were christened St Margaret, Westminster, London.
EDWARD Beale 22 June 1645
HENRY Beale 18 August 1650
Parents JOHN/ELIZABETH
(Source Familysearch.Org)
Several other siblings also.

Trish,
Thank you so much for the lead. I will follow up on it and see if I can make the connection.
I will let you know what I find.
Are you a professional genealogist? I cannot believe you found overnight a link I haven’t found in years. I am new to the sites in the UK though so I guess I can use that as an excuse.
Lol
Russ
Trish,
The dates on the christenings there are after their deaths so guess it is back to the search/ i think you may have something with Henry and his wife and Edward and his are right on. somewhere in my records i have that Edward had a brother Henry but then again I also have seen that he was one of 18 or 19 children.
and i though it was difficult searching in Nova Scotia lol/

Hi Russ,
No i am not a professional just lots of searching for others here on Rootchat has given me a lot of experience. I am also a bit of a lateral thinker!
As to Edward/Henry Beale of London I must have been tired as I was 100 years out :-[
Wow Nova Scotia, I am in Sydney :)
