Betsy WAIN/E was the eldest daughter of Charles WAIN/E and Susanna DUCKETT.  According to the 1861 Census Betsy was born abt 1846 the eldest daughter.

in the 1861 Census the family were living at Woodshiers Green, Exhall, Foleshill, Warwickshire. Registration district: Foleshill; Enumeration district: 15; Archive reference: RG09; Piece number: 2198; Folio: 104; Page: 15

Charles & Susanna married  23 Jul 1862 about a month before they departed for Australia.

Looks like Betsy was a child of a previous marriage

Betsy 4 bn Warwick Wolson
John 10 mths bn Market Bosworth

John's birth reg shows mmn to be Duckett

Therefore this looks like Betsy's birth:

So Betsy was a nickname not her birth name?

I wonder if there are baptismal records for Wolson?

Do you think a couple would baptise their children if they themselves weren't married/

As you said Charles/Susanna married 23 Jul 1862 (its on FreeREG) he was 40, a Bachelor!

Cant seem to find Baptism for any of the children under Wain or Duckett.

I noticed a Tree doesnt have Charles Mother, you might have this though.

I see Mary JEE was a widow.  I don't seem to be able to locate her maiden name. John WAIN & Mary JEE marriage states both were of the parish.

Any ideas?
