It would most likely be in Llangollen as Pontfadog was part of that parish until 1848.

According to the entry, the marriage did take place in Llangollen.

If you looked at the record on FindMyPast, it's been wrongly indexed as Pontfadog.

In fact many of the marriages that did take place in Llangollen parish have been wrongly indexed in this way. You have to look at the heading on the pages.  The same has happened with some of the  Wrexham records being indexed as Brymbo.

Hi Brian

I'm a bit confused as you had a thread about them last year and even put up their bond:

From the other thread:

Quote
Burial  21 Feb 1857, Chirk, Elizabeth Pritchard, 44, abode - Gledrid, St Martins

she was born circa 1813.

Have you considered these:

(parents Robert and Elizabeth, formerly Hughes)

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KC54-CNK
(parents -Edward and Magdalen)

the second one looks very interesting as on there marriage it gave a second as edward wonder if this was elizabeths father.
its double difficult because the census of 1841 done help as they were married by then. so i cant find a direct link back to the parents.
wonder if elizabeths baptism records of this would show it ?.
thanks for finding this.brian

Just been looking art the marriage entry again . An Edward Roberts was one of the witnesses. The other one was a Jane Hughes - does that ring any bells?

Puzzled by your ref to Elizabeth's baptism records - the ones I quote were an Elizabeth Roberts'  baptism records

Don't think Edward and Magdalen were the parents as they had another daughter baptised as Elizabeth in 1824. The 1812 one died in 1818.

If you click on the link, you'll be able to view copies of the original on FindMyPast. The names I've given under each link show them. I also have the Clwyd FHS booklets.
