Looking for information on my great grandfather. His name was Edward Mcvey and was a lancaster bomber navigator during the second world war. Anybody know where i can start looking. Google searches come upwith nothing

Meanwhile, can you post all other details you know?
When/where born, wife's name, parents names, was he killed in the war or elsewhere & when?

Welcome to Rootschat.
What do you mean by ‘looking for information’?

Greetings, and a warm welcome to Rootschat.
The simple truth is that it is extremely difficult to find information on the internet about a serviceman who survived the war. The best way is to apply to the Ministry of Defence for his Service Record
https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/requests-for-personal-data-and-service-records gives guidance. It's not cheap - the administration fee is £30 and you would need to provide a death certificate. Unless of course your grandfather or his wife is still living in which case they could apply without having to pay the fee.
For RAF servicemen who died in the war I find AircrewRemembered very useful:

Also, if you have the name and service number the London Gazette published appointments, promotions and decorations:

Hope this helps

Great links from Philip & JM but kind of at a loss without any info. so far to go on?
We don't know anything yet apart from a name & occ. (c1939-1945) so it's a bit of a stumbling block not to mention the variants for the surname McVey as there are many :-\
We don't know what info. is being sought?

Also and if you know which Squadron he is served try a Squadron association, which you can find on the internet, or I can search for you.,
Cheers,
