Title: Arthur Curwood b 23 Jul 1877 Marylebone, England

There is another post on the England, London board for the above. I'm wondering now as he was discharged from the Royal Navy 27 Feb 1896 at Portsmouth and he can't be found after that in the UK whether he ended up in NZ?

there is only one death for an Arthur Curwood in NZ between 1900 and 2000 and he was 75 in 1942, so 10 years too old
added - and that one married in 1895 so definitely not him

Just to add further to info given by Mckha489 -- and so that you can eliminate the man who resided in New Zealand
    ... the Arthur CURWOOD who died in NZ in 1942 was born 1867 in Somerset, ENG. [s/o John and Fanny (Frances) CURWOOD]
[Information sources :  NZ  Probate record 1942 /  Baptism record / birth registration index / UK census returns. ]

Interesting minniehaha so another mystery as to whether Arthur ended up in Australia, married and had children there? However is it possible to find out more about him there?

Just to emphasize that Arthur was born in 1878 rather than 1877!
