Great Great Grandfather was a Marine, most of his children were born in Stonehouse Plymouth, where his wife was from. I have the naval records of most of their baptisms.
I have
Parents are : Francis Brady Heydock b1850 m to Jessie nee Friend b 1851
Children :
Richard George b 1877 stonehouse
Jessie Ellen b 1879 Stonehouse
Rose Mary b 1882 Stonehouse
Norman b 1884 Taunton
Alice Timpey b 1888 ( my Grandmother cannot find a baptism) have birth record.
Here are the queries I have a Baptism record from Lydia Mary Heydock at St John Baptist Glastonbury 4th July 1886 together with Norman; father shown as Frank Brady Colour sergeant (same as his father) mother Jessie.
Then I have a Naval baptism record for Lilian May Heydock , right parents frank and Jessie also shown as colour sergeant..b 1st June 1886... I can find no other record of Lydia .
Others doing our tree seem to have merged Lilian and Lydia but i cant believe Lydia mary and Lilian May are the same people.
On The admiralty folio records upto and including Lilian but nothing after ..

Anyone ever come across anything like this before.. I thought twins, but then why are they not both shown together.
I might have thought the Glastonbury church record were for someone else if it wasnt for the joint baptism of Lydia and Norman?!
Sorry its long but wanted to make sure you had all the info that I have.

The image for the 4 July 1886 baptism at St John, Glastonbury shows that Lydia Mary and Norman were both baptised on that date - children of Francis Brady and Jessie Heydock of Above Town. Francis is a Colour Sergeant. No birth dates are indicated.

No I dont but thats correct. My feeling is Lydia is an error but rather a big one... no similarity between the two names other than the L and M!?

AH HA! Well spotted I forgot to check that and as Norman was 2 in 1886 there is nothing to say that Lydia was actually born in 1886, and even with Lydia I have only got 8 of them.
MUCH more digging to do then ::)
