Title: Stevens Holy, Trinity, East End
Post by: willsy on Saturday 08 September 18 20:20 BST (UK)
Have not researched very much in the Sunderland area and need some help.

Have a baptism of Frances Ann Stevens

Holy Trinity, East End
Born 04/02/1905
Bap 29/03/1905    Frances Ann
Mother Annie    STEPHENS

and a birth certificate 1905 of

Frances Ann Swinney, mother Annie Stevens father William Swinney...married Jun Q 1909.

I have all sorts of info from the paper and burial records for the Stevens/Coggins/Swinney family living or dying around 7 William Street. I am so sure all this ties in as my father in law is with the Coggins family 1939...Hannah Stevens married Thomas Coggins...and Annie's burial is as 6 William Street. Hannah was very good at putting announcements in the paper plus the Stevens and Swinney family live next door to each other 1901.

I can't find Frances 1911 but do have Annie and William. When Frances dies she is Stevens again. School register has a Frances Swinney born April 1904 7 William Street; I really need to know the details on the baptism and wondered if there was anywhere online I could access the information or if on a visit, the best place to view the records.

Tyne and Wear Archives will have the baptism - check out the User Guides on the above link. :)

If no one beats me to it, I could go to the archives to look this up for you.  I am not sure when I could get there at this point because of work but possibly at some point over the next few weeks.

Oh my goodness, can't thank you enough, it's the same address as the birth certificate that was registered as Stevens.
You are brilliant ;D
