Title: lambhill cemetery in Glasgow
Post by: chrissyann on Sunday 09 September 18 16:04 BST (UK)
Hi
I am looking for a grave in Lambhill cemetery and I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to search for me as I live near Derby. The grave is for John Livingstone Blain, certificate no.21850,section 4,lair 925.John died in 1951 aged about 36.Hoping that this isnt too much of a tall order but it would mean a lot to me if I had a photo of it.
Thank you
Chris

I had a note of this to look when next in Lambhill Cemetery, but while searching for something else I found the lair record and burial details for the lair which gives details of who else is interred there.
I know this is an old post, but if you do pick it up, let me know if you would like the images.

Hi there.
Happy to send them to you.  Send me a PM with your email address and I'll get them to you.

I hope to visit the cemetery in the near future as I have a list of lairs to try and locate myself, tho sadly many headstones have long since been removed.

Thanks.
I was actually trying to give the original poster the option of seeing them without posting to the public forum.

Hi Andrew
Not sure how to send you a personal message on this site but if you want to post it here it's not a problem for me, I would like to print it if possible to show it to my family member who lives abroad
Thanks very much
Chris

Hi there,
I finally managed to visit Lambhill Cemetery today.  Unfortunately there is no headstone for the Blain lair No.925.  My wife and I checked other stones which had their numbers inscribed and narrowed it down.

The attached phot is the area where the lair is located.  The small white marble plinth in the foreground is No 922, so the Blain lair would be between that stone and the tree.  Sorry the search came up blank.

Hi Andrew
Thanks very much for taking the time to look for the lair, even though there's no headstone it's still nice to have the photo
Thanks again
