Have discovered tracing people in more recent years isn't easy, but thought I would give it a mention.
Michael Randolf KIDMAN died 2001 (71 yrs) and lived with his wife Mary at 53 Nant Y Glyn, Caernarvon, Gwynedd, LL55 4AH. His wife Mary died 2012 aged (79 yrs) and are buried together at Llanbeblig Cemetery.
I am trying to find out when Michael and Mary went to Wales - they were in Luton, England 1969.
From Mary's tribute she had two sisters Breda and Nora (someone might have known them)

Yes it was Mannix. I am afraid at the moment, I don't know anymore about Mary.

Don't have her date of birth - but she died 2012 aged 79 years - so she was born 1933

Have just looked on Family Search and there are two Mary MANNIX born 1933 in Ireland.
Mary Mannix Jul - Sept 1933 Tralee, Ireland
Mary Mannix Apr - Jun 1933 Granard, Ireland
No parents named.

Further to our discussion earlier today, to avoid confusion, I would point out that the road Nant y Glyn is in the village of Llanrug and not in Caernarfon. It might be worth contacting the Hafan Elan Community Centre, Hafan Elan Estate, Llanrug, LL55 4BU. I note they hold a Monday Lunch Club there and some of the members might have known Mary. Thank you Nesta. That's a pity the pictures are private. I got their marriage entry from FamilySearch. Jan-Feb-March 1955 Wood Green, Middlesex.

Hafan Elan Estate is a warden aided complex of bungalows. By coincidence my Aunt moved there in her later years to look after her older sister.

Managed to open the address this time.
Do you think Michael and Mary may have lived in a warden aided complex of bungalows. Michael died in 2001 and Mary (Maura on her tribute) in 2012.
I am wondering why they went to Wales.

only 1 came up, married 1967 Hampstead to Joseph E Dowling
2 children born in Paddington
Jason Edward Dowling 1960's and Joanna Mary Dowling 1970's
Other than that I cannot find anything else about Maura Mannix

There is probate shown as Thomas Randolph Kidman dying 06/01/1964, probate to Michael Randolph Kidman, occ. project repair mechanic, so this might be a clue to his occupation throughout the years , there is an amount of money shown

You asked whether Michael and Mary lived in a warden aided complex. Certainly not when Michael died since Nant Y Glyn looks like a 1960's/70's private estate. I mentioned the Lunch Club since I thought Mary, being a widow in her eighties, might have used it for the company and also it was only a few minutes walk away.

Yes, I have that info. 1955 was when Michael and Mary married. I think Mary could have been Irish. On her tribute it has Mary with Maura in brackets.
1964 Michael's father Thomas R Kidman died and 11 Crown Road was the given address. Somehow don't think I'll find out why and when Michael and Mary went to Wales. I was just curious to fill in the gap.

That is an interesting find. Certainly sounds as if his occupation as project repair mechanic, may have carried on throughout the years and, may answer one of my questions.

She may have been from Welsh decent.
I don't know her date of birth haven't found it. - I was going by her age 79 yrs when she died in 2012 and would make her birth year about 1933.
From her tribute it has KIDMAN - MARY (Maura) and may have been called Maura ?
Maura is a female given name used in English, Spanish, Italian, Greece, Scots Gaelic, and Irish Gaelic. It appears as the feminine form of the Roman given name Maurus and as an Anglicisation of Máire, the Irish form of Mary.

I haven't been able to find anything else on Mary(Maura) Mannix - she is a mystery.
