Hello...
Ive just come across the war record of My nans uncle... Joseph Richards, (b 1885 wolverhampton) I was trying to look at where he lived, the address is just wrote as
The Stone, Colwall, Hereford
but i cant find where this house is / was... anyone?

In the Worcestershire Chronicle 11 July 1903 there is an article referring to a Mrs W Hyde, The Stone, Colwall, Malvern.
You could see if she's living there in 1901 and hopefully the surrounding houses on the census may give an indication as to where 'The Stone' is/was.

1911 has the couple living at hardwick terrace... colwall

In 1901 Eliza Lewis age 34 b Ashperton, Herefordshire was living at the Stone Colwall

his wife, Mary Jane Spilsbury Jones,, is listed as being a post woman... in 1911, its she who is born in colwall (he, like me, are from wolverhampton )
