Struggling with this one - needing to know who the named lady's parents were and if she married a Raymond George Danbury - 1959 Birmingham - 9c 672. I have a Daphne in my tree b1939 but there is also a record for another Daphne b1937 - Have a marriage but unsure if its my lady?? Don't want to be going down the wrong root with her. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The 1837 birth was probably illegitimate as the mother’s maiden name was also HEATHCOTE.
The 1939 birth shows mother’s maiden name as YEOMANS.

Daphne Danbury's dob was 28 Jun 1937 according to her death registration which suggest possibly not yours, if you are certain about 1939 as year of birth

Have you tried the local newspapers for either obituary, Raymond died 2006 and Daphne died 2002 age 65.

Can t quite work out whos who but have found the following, perhaps a name will ring a bell.
There are the following travelling from Liverpool to NZ on the Akaroa in 1943
Mellis Mrs O 31
Heathcote Miss D 6
Mellis Miss H 1
Adress..63 Four Oaks C? Road, Four Oaks Sutton Coldfield.
You would think that might be Daphne A Heathcote b 1939 ( although age suggests 1937) Sutton Coldfield but she appears to be with Olive Heathcote who married John A Mellis in 1943
Have found some references to a Daphne Heathcote but not in Warwickshire, instead around Grantham.
Grantham Journal 1942 has a Daphne Heathcote a winner in the Beatiful Baby competition in the 1 to 2 year group.
Also1950
Wedding of Betty Lillian Margaret Hubbard to an Edwin Heathcote, son of R Heathcote, Mayfield Street.
His niece Miss Daphne Heathcote was one of the bridesmaids. Daphne and Geoffrey Heathcote also mentioned.

Looks like William G Heathcote married Olive Yeomans in 1937 Lichfied and she went on to marry John A Mellis in 1943
William and Olive are on the 1939 register with seemingly a child in Sutton Coldfield.

William George Heathcote aged 31 Royal Artillery died at sea 28 Jun 1942
Son of William and Beatrice Heathcote and husband of Olive Nelly Heathcote.
Records give his residence as Sutton Coldfield and birthplace as Newton Regis Tamworth

I think the first unanswered question is: did Daphne come back to England after she went to New Zealand in 1943. If not, we can rule her out.
