These two photos are of my father who was "feed" on a farm and later worked on the Railway Lines for over forty years.
When he worked on the farm, there were no tractors and everything was done using raw horse power...Imagine.!
Can they be improved.?
-
I am sure someone can improve them for you:

Here's my offering on the first photo. Hope you enjoy!

And here's the second.
-
Here's the first one, those horses are beautiful they remind me of the horses on my fathers family farm, true workhorses.

Thank You.... :) :) :) :).
Son of Farm Overseer (James Copland)...Worked on farms before Tractors etc...Used horses...Eventually started work on the railways...Permament way all over N.E. and West Scotland where he was responsible for a squad of 22 men...Over 40 years in Railways (B.R.)...Also a caretaker of Dunnottar House (1948 - 1954)..Whilst working earlier on the lines...a steel rail was dropped on his leg and multiple fractures..Never was set properly and Ack had a slight limp and bowed leg.
His mother died young and Ack was brought up by his sister Nell who was the oldest.
Ack....1907 -1990 RIP.
