Hi,
I am looking for help finding the parents of the above Sidney Jenkins. I have them as John Jenkins and Elizabeth Lewis, but now I am not sure if I have these right.
Sidney was born around 1862 in Newport, and married Mary Ann Rich in 1881, in Newport. Census information gives this - 1911 (birth year - 1863/Newport), 1901 (birth year - 1847/Newport) but age says 34, 1891 (birth year - 1863/Newport), 1881 (birth year - 1862/Newport), 1871 (birth year - 1863/Newport).
In 1871 he is living with his mother Elizabeth Jenkins who is a widow, born about 1830 in Llanhilleth, Monmouthshire. Also living there are John Jenkins (14), Henry Jenkins (10), Edgar Jenkins (5), Elizabeth (3).
Theres a marriage for a Richard Jenkins to Elizabeth Enoch in 1850, Newport. Also, a John Jenkins to Elizabeth Lewis in 1853, Newport. I can't find a birth for a Sidney/Sydney Jenkins to a mother with the maiden name of Enoch or Lewis.
Can anyone help?

Sidney was born around 1862 in Newport, and married Mary Ann Rich in 1881, in Newport.
The marriage certificate should confirm his fathers name to see if you are on the right or wrong track with John.
It's possible his mother was a widow when she married so her birth name would be different.
What mothers maiden name do the other children have if you can narrow them down?

birthplace for Henry & Lewis is Gelligaer, James & Ann Jones both born in Gloucestershire.
