Hi, I'm looking to find Alice Davies (sometimes Davis) mothers maiden name. What I know so far is Alice married Charles Henry Jinks in 1907. Her father was named on the marriage cert as William Davis. I've picked up the family on the 1891 census living at Victor St, Stoke On Trent.

Wife Charlotte E Davis 1861
Dau Mary E Davis 1880
Dau Alice Davis 1885 Hanley
Son John Davis 1888
Dau Edith Davies 1891, bap 1893.
Maybe I'm having a dull moment but, I can't find any other birth details for any of the children nor any other baptisms.
Is anyone able to locate any details on Charlotte E or even when she married William please, many thanks in advance as always - richard

Thanks both, the 1901 census looks correct but why are the children given the surname Davis on the 1891 register but Rigby on the 1901 ?
