Could some kind person help me find details for Christine Giles Watson born 1885 - 1886.
Married Roland Payne in the Kelvin district in 1915. I think that Roland Payne, born Yorkshire 1885, was single and living in the Glasgow at the time of the 1911 census. They went on to have 2 children, Margaret Elizabeth & Winifred Mary.

I have just got a photo copy of the marriage certificate for Christine(a) Gillespie Watson and Roland Payne at St Mary's Glasgow in June 1915. Looks like Christine's father, Easton, is deceased. Mary Gillespie Watson is there and the witnesses are Elizabeth Gillespie Watson and Cyril Payne, brother of Roland.
Would like to try and find where their 2 daughters were born in Scotland
Winifred Mary Payne 1916, think she married in England
Margaret Elizabeth Payne 1927 who married Ronald Owen Smith at Thanet, Kent in 1949

If you go to www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk, register (free of charge) and look in the index to statutory births you will find that Winifred Mary's birth was registered in Partick in 1916. However I don't see a birth for Margaret Elizabeth in 1927.
There is a Margaret Elizabeth Payne in Partick in 1919, which is the date quoted in one of your other threads yesterday at 21.59 by Lynn.

Sorry, Margaret Elizabeth was born 1919 and married in England in 1949.
Winifred Mary was born 1916.
It was interesting to see that Roland Payne was living in Lanark, in 1911 and that there was a Stanley Payne born 1893, at the same address. Do not think it was a brother, perhaps a cousin.
