Newspaper article -  Boston Guardian 06 August 1880 - Shocking attempt to murder a woman

Briefly:-

Committal on 13th August 1880 and convicted on 6th November 1880 at Nottingham Winter Assizes.
Crime - Unlawful Wounding at Boston
Sentence -5 Years
Victim - Mary Ann Smith
Father - William Brocklesby of 8 Colley Street, Boston.
