James Frederick Hoare born 3q 1899 Guildford 2a 74 in Horsell Woking ??? married Dorothy J. Woodhams 4q 1921 Guildford 2a 219. When married they lived at 14 Horsell Moor; James died 1q 1952 Surrey N W 5g 710.

I believe that Dorothy was born in Brentford Middlesex in 1901.

Any more information from the Horsell Parish Records would be welcome

Just for starters they married at Christ Church  ;D
Dorothy Louise was living at 68 Vale Farm Road  - no father named - she was 22.  A witness was Kate E Woodhams

Frederick was 22 and his address was 14 Horsell Moor occ Carman father James Frederick Hoare occ Bricklayer

Other witness was Kenneth E Tilbury.  Marriage was 14 December 1921

Hi believe Dorothy Louise was born 8th September 1899 and died June qtr 1975 Torbay v21 page 2391

The Woodham/s children Dorothy aged 1 and Kate E 1896 at Roundtree, West Horsley, Guildford are two possibles?

In 1901 Kate E is grandaughter of Henry & Elizabeth Woodhams
RG13 /601 f66 p16
Boarding next door is Dorothy Woodhams age 1 born Guildford

I can't see a birth reg for Dorothy though.  ::)

Kate E Woodhams is the illegitimate dtr of Mary Elizabeth Woodhams

Mary Elizabeth Woodhams married in 1902 to Frederick Harman.  She has a daughter Louise Woodhams age 11 in 1911

Hi 1939 and this death need checking out, but a Kate E Woodhams died Sept qtr 1963 Christchurch 6b 235 aged 67?

Thank you for searching further for me.

I have just found this birth which may be OK; it would fit to the 8 Sep 1899 birth 2q 1899 Chertsey 2a 43. Horsell was in the Chertsey area until 1901 when it was allotted to the Guildford area.

The parents of this Louisa are living in Hersham - Benjamin the father was born in West Horsley so they are more than likely related to Kate E & Louisa who we believe are sisters.
