I have just started looking into my Gt Grandfathers side of the family. He came over to England in 1901 with the Swedish Navy. I have his WW1 papers stating that he is of Swedish birth, born in Stokholm. I do not know anything about Swedish archives or where to start looking. Could someone point me in the right direction to start my research, perhaps useful websites etc.
Many Thanks

Hi Sue
Searching in Stockholm can be pretty tricky.
If you want I can look for you to get you started. I just need the info you have on him just.

Hi Sue
The only site I can recommend for Stockholm city is this. But Stockholm could really mean any parish in or around Stockholm:

Thank you Ian for the web link and your offer of help. I will see how I get on with the link. If I get stuck I may contact you again, if that is OK with you.
Thankyou again
Sue :)
