Welcome to Rootschat
The 1841 shows Matthew aged 31 so birthyear around 1810
Have you checked Scotlands People for a birth? www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
EDIT
1851 - he is 49 so BY = 1802??
-
Just checked SP and he is not the 1813 birth in Kirkmabreck as he can be found in Scottish censuses
Given my edit above - there is an 1801 (19.8.1801) birth in Kirkmabreck - father David
-
Names of children in order may help with parentage if you can identify children named from his wife's side?
McKean could also have numerous variants if it's anything like my Kean lot;
"Kean, Kain, Kaine, Kane, Cain & Caine
I have seen numerous others on transcriptions too"

Wife Louisa died 1849 and Matthew married Amelia Bleasdale/Lonsdale in 1854 at St John's Manchester
-
Marriage 8.7.1854 Matthew McKean widower full age - occ machine joiner - father John McKean - occ book keeper
Amelia Lonsdale widow - father James Bleasdale
Witnesses Richard & Selina Lonsdale
-
Short lived marriage. Matthew died March qtr 1855 aged 58 which puts his birth year around 1797
Amelia remarried 1857 to John Slater - marriage cert shows her as 30yrs old??
-
Amelia first married as a minor. Manchester Cathedral 27.5.1847 to Thomas Lonsdale so she was under 21 at that time

Thank you for taking an interest in my gggrandfather Mathew MCkean the marriage you mentioned in 1854 gives his father's name John McKean book keeper is it possible to follow his father's family line in Scotland Dennis :) :)

Unfortunately there is nothing on either ScotlandsPeople/FamilySearch or the 1841 census to identify John. If Matthew was born around 1800 it’s possible his father was dead by 1841
