As it is the weekend. Thought I would ask here 1st. Are you able to inform me that if you know the names of the parents , would the cemetery office be able to tell me if there were any burials of any of their children. Even if you had none of their children’s names. Eirwen

FindAGrave has some transcriptions for the cemetery but I don't know if they are complete and how the person who transcribed them got hold of the details.

Have you used www.gro.gov.uk to find the childrens births?

The GRO search shows the mother's maiden name whereas the other online indexes before 1911 dont.

I don't know if the cemetery office can help you, it depends on what information has been recorded in their cemetery records and if they have the time to go through them when they are most probably d ealing with the recently bereaved who want to organise funerals.

Thankyou for the information. All I know is that two children died ,Łeither at birth or very early but have no Christian names. Your assistance is much appreciated. Regards Eirwen

There used to be copies of the burial record sheets at Treorchy Library. Worth contacting then with the details, they used to be very happy to do searches, but not sure if the library has been axed due to austerity cuts. If so, try Pontypridd library, which should also have copies. The only Howell Davies coming up on findagrave died in 1916 in WW1. Could also have been buried at Llanwonno Church or Penrhys cemetery. The libraries also have Internment burial record details for Penrhys and these are also on Findagrave, but some of my family are there and they are not on findagrave, so must be incomplete. Llanwonno burials are on a GFHS index and they may be on LDS site.

There is only one Howell Davies listed on the GRO inedexes, who died in 1904 in the Pontypridd Registration district, and he was Howell Price Davies aged 8 (March Quarter, Vol 11a page 421)

With reference to the last post I made, there is a death entry for a Howell Davies who could be the one who died aged 71. in the Pontypridd Reg area in Dec 1975, who was born on 16 Feb 1904 vol 27, page 1380.
