The above married Sarah ? in Tollesbury. Can somebody help me with her faded family name please?.

The transcriber on Free Reg couldn't make any sense of it either!

Boyd's reckons it's Lazell. Which, knowing Boyd's, may not be exactly how the name was spelt. There are marriages at Tollesbury indexed by FreeReg of people called Lazell, Lasell, Laysell.

Haven't seen the original.

Looking at the entry on Parish registers, I would say it is definitely Lassel. Looking at the December 14th entry slightly higher up on same page, Mary Lassel is written the same way. The last letter is slightly unclear and maybe different. I wonder if Mary and Sarah are sisters?
