Her death from NZ BDM's
1994/52473 Butler Emily Jane Agnes born 3 December 1911
The exact date of death was 24/10/1994
I don't see her in the Purewa cemetery database
Purewa is more associated with the cemetery rather than an area in Auckland

Same here, the death notice might throw up a clue where she is, speculation only .... wondering if she was cremated at either of the two that do their own cremations? What do you think Janette?

I wondered if she went to Mangere,I'm not sure Morrison's and Davis' had their own cremators that far back,

109 Mt Smart Rd was known as Garside Village which was a pensioner village of 40 units run by the local council,

Made a telephone call....
The lady was cremated @ Mangere on 27.10.1994.
C. H. Barker were the funeral directors.
Looks as if they were taken over by Tilton Opie & Pattinson.
"From Tilton Opie & Pattinson Funerals
'Tilton Opie & Pattinson incorporates CH Barker Funerals in Royal Oak has been serving the people of Onehunga, Mangere Bridge and surrounding areas for over 100 years."

Might be worthwhile contacting them to see if they can provide any family information.......

Just wondering where the name of "Amelia" came from?
Checked GRO birth registrations and this record would seem to confirm that the third Christian name was in fact "Jane". However mother's maiden name should possibly be proof?
Name: Mother's Maiden Surname:
BROTHERS, EMILY JANE AGNES SMITH
GRO Reference: 1911 M Quarter in WEST HAM Volume 04A Page 165

Before you put your message up KHP, I already had a call in to Tilton Opie & Pattinson who referred me to C. H. Barker.
Apparently Simplicity Funerals, C. H. Barker & Tilton Opie & Pattinson have become incorporated but meantime the records are held separately.
I was told that they are not in anyway involved with Sibuns.
So in this case, an enquiry should be made of C. H. Barker in respect of the funeral of Mrs. Butler. Records are in their archives.
Not sure if this helps or not?

You did suggest that in the duplicate post from 2014 that contact should be made, but there was no further contact from Indaloman to your remark or for finding Emily's death at that time the posts were made.
