Please can someone help me how to do this? I've found an article in the FindMyPast's newspaper archives which pertains to the death of one of my ancestors but I cannot seem to download it! I'm assuming they're okay with you downloading it because there's a button to hit to do so!
However, when I then go into my downloads on my PC and open the saved doc, all I get is the same FindMyPast screen but with one exception - the newspaper page doesn't come up - its just blank!
I'm assuming I must be doing something wrong but heaven knows what. Can anyone advise me please? (Its working okay for other downloads). Its rather long to copy down in long hand (which I shall have to do if I can't figure out how to make the download work) and I really wanted to add it to my tree so that I can share it with others.
Thanks,
Jill

Hi Jill
I've just checked to see if there's a prob but it seems OK. I'm using Firefox and Win10. I just clicked on the Download Page at the top. It produces a pdf file.

I have also just tried doing the same as Gadget with no problem (using Chrome).

Could you give us a link to the page that you're downloading - maybe it's the prob.

As an alternative to downloading the whole page you could consider using the snipping tool to get the article you want.
Added: just tried downloading a whole page and had no problem :-\

I now have deep feelings of inadequacy! :-[
What am I doing wrong? I'm also on Firefox but am on Vista which I know is archaic but its all I've got until I can manage to buy a new PC.
This is the link: https://search.findmypast.co.uk/bna/viewarticle?id=bl%2f0000369%2f18491201%2f033.
Its the Reading Mercury of 1 December 1849 - a report on the Inquest into the death of Sarah Eliza Hicks. It makes very sad reading.
JenB: sorry to be even more inadequate, but how do I access this snipping tool? I've looked all over the page but can't see any 'tools' other than 'download' and 'print'.

Okay, so now it works!! I did nothing different (that I was aware of) but now its downloaded the whole page okay.
I'd still be interested in how to 'snip out' the relevant article though.
Thanks for bearing with me.....

I got to it originally by clicking on the start button (bottom left of screen)>All programmes>Accessories
If you right click on snipping tool it gives you the option to pin it to your task bar or start menu.
Most useful :)

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Alternatively...If you click on the windows icon bottom left as you would to close down...type snipping tool into the search box and it will come up.
