No. sorry I don't think so. She was a niece of Anne R Benjamin so born much later than your Helen.

Sorry this wasn't more helpful. I have searched for Helen from time to time but the records for the time frame we need are protected in Canada. Helen was Helen McArthur the last we saw. New records come out all the time so never give up.

Reply 74 (page 9) on one of the other threads - gave McIntosh family members - have you located any further info or obituaries on Robert McIntosh siblings pr the parents which may mention him ?
Quote :- The marriage record in 1928 said Robert was 35 years old - the birth could have been slightly earlier because he does appear with James and Margaret on the 1891 Scotland Census.
James McIntosh 41 Ship Caulker.
Margaret McIntosh 34
Thomas McIntosh 12 James McIntosh 11
Margaret McIntosh 7 John McIntosh 5
Robert McIntosh 1 born 1890
1901 census 26 Lowdens Alley Liff and Benvie Angus.
James Mcintosh 53 born Coupar Angus, Perthshire. General Labourer..
Margaret Mcintosh 44
James Mcintosh 22 Carter.
John Mcintosh 16 Low Mill.
Robert Mcintosh 13
Jane Mcintosh 9
Ernest Mcintosh 5

Can you help me narrow down possible birth Certs for Robert
Ryan
From the 1891 census info. posted earlier he was born 1890, have you looked at the census to find out where he was born to narrow down your search?
Meanwhile, I've had a look for births on scotlandspeople, if he was born Dundee, Angus here's a possible;
MCINTOSH ROBERT 1890
282/1 188 St Peter (Angus)

Another step forward....... Had another go at Helen MCArthur. Would love to crack her but maybe she could have died or remarried again. ??? Certainly elusive.
Wonder if parents or sibling obits would mention her ???

There was 2 brothers
Alexander died in 1962 in Windsor , and William died in 1947 detrioit
There was newspaper cutting obit for Alexander which was in easily found on newspaper archive and I think a fellow roots chatter found the murder news cutting about William.

Hi Sandra
Can you remind me again why you are veering towards the surname MacArthur

Because Helen McArthur was mentioned on the death of John McDonald. Reply 21.

Hi folks with the help of a great friend and some genealogy folks on a Facebook page
A discovery has been made from the Toronto registry of 1948
A Robert and a Helen Mcintosh are seen at same address 20 elmsthorpe Avenue , Ajax , Toronto
It was also mentioned that the same couple were recorded in 1938
Can anyone take this any further ?
I’m
Hoping this is a new lead

There was a death of Helen (Nell) McIntosh who died in Ajax Toronto - listed in an April 2018 obituary found by Run Kitty - reply 83. She also researches those listed in that obituary in the following replies.
Oct 25, 1980, there is an obituary for Helen (Nell) McIntosh. She died in Ajax on Oct 24 1980. She is buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. She is the Aunt of Betty Martyn, Margaret Frayne, J and A McIntosh and G and D Peech. It says she is the Nana to several named people. No mention of her husband or children. ???

Hi the same person from ontario genealogy group on Facebook has found a record for 1949
With a Helen [ widow of Robert } working as dressmaker at Simpson’s ?
Added that looks like Robert died between 1945-1949
Address 49 Lonsdale rd MO 4077
Would this be a better inclination of being them ?
I think it’s near the same area mentioned on the marriage cert
Alexander street and stibbard ave
Can anyone take a look into this or take it further ?
Thanks
Ryan

Sorry I can't see anything in 1949 voters lists. Not sure if this link would help you ?
