Title: Maralin and/or Magheralin
Post by: Forfarian on Monday 08 October 18 11:58 BST (UK)
I've been looking at various records of the family of Cosslett Waddell and Maria Langtry of Drumcro, and sometimes they say Maralin and sometime Magheralin.

Is it possible that Maralin and Magheralin are different spellings of the same parish?

I think its highly likely

I have seen countless different spellings of the same townlands and parishes in Co Down during my research.

My Great grandfather is from Artana or Ardtana or Ardtanagh to name just a few

Ros Davies great Co Down website http://www.rosdavies.com gives
Maralin   Magheralin   .   alternate spelling for Magheralin   PNNI V6 p 216
have you exhausted her many listings

if you are still hunting for relatives although a single line entry in an incomplete record, sometimes helps
