Can someone please look up the 1841 census for Edward, I would appreciate knowing where he was living,what he was doing and who was living with him.  I have not managed to find this information.

There's an Edward Rubathan/Rubothon  aged 75 in Row, Frodesley

Edward, 75, Ag lab
Edward, 25, ag lab
Hannah, 30
Christinah, 20
Jane 3
Edward , 1

All born county

HO107/910/7/3/1

It could be him.

Think we both had the same idea, Hepburn  :D

Added - strangely, I was looking at the Frodesley records today - some of my ancestors were there in 16-17th century!

Wonderful that is indeed them, the youngest married Christiana and they appear to be living with his father at that time.

I don't know how you found this do tell, I have looked high and low and used different spellings of the name.

I put in his first name (with variations) R* and date of birth +/-5 and Shropshire. 

A very odd variation of the surname came up in Frodesley.   I them looked at the image and saw that the surname was likely to be him!
