Hi all
I found an image of an 'Original Marriage Register' for a wedding in Port Elizabeth, 2 March 1926 on familysearch.org. The couple are called William Alfred Helyar and Betty Berry, both born in England. One of the columns for information in the image asks: with or without Antenuptial Contract? The answer written in the space is Antenuptial Contract.
It would appear from the presence of the question on the register, that having an antenuptial contract was not unusual. Does anyone know if these contracts were deposited anywhere in particular and if so, whether they can be accessed?
Any thoughts on how to locate them would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks, pampoen. That is indeed his son. I've seen his name elsewhere. Can you tell me which database or website you used to find these? I'm not at all familiar with the South African records that are available.
Thanks,

Unfortunately these files are not online. If you google EGGSA and contact them they can get a copy for you for a small fee and email them to you.

Thanks, pampoen, I'll look at EGGSA and see what I can find.
