I have a Wm B. Magrath b Dublin 1838-d1903 New York, buried with other family members at Springdale, Connecticut. On death he is noted as a widower. His will is to siblings, so presumably no children...
In 1880 he is living on Lexington Ave, NY with 2 brothers, no sign of a wife.
I have seen a ref to a Wm Magrath marrying a Fannie Blundell in 1881 (but can't access the record). And a Fannie B Magrath dies in 1891 in NY.
Is anyone able to check this out for me?
His parents were Geo P Magrath & Mary Scott. He was a solicitor who later lived/died at Mt Vernon.
Many thanks

New York Times - 30 March 1903 gave the same information on William B Magrath as you stated above.
Will post for reference in case you haven't seen it.

To answer the question you have asked.
I think this is the marriage record being referenced. His parents names seem to match what you have provided and the date is 1881 to a "Fannie"

The entry on the bride's index (available for free on www.italiangen.org) has Fannie Blundell & William Magrath marrying in Manhattan on 26 May 1881. Not sure why she's coming up under another name, but looks like the same date as the one Sandra found.

Perhaps Fannie had been married previously. Food for thought anyway. ???
The 1870 census showed a couple with the surname Blundell -

Well, that cleared that up!! :) :)
Not being able to identify his wife had been bugging me for some time. Thank you so much for your contributions - much appreciated.
