Looking for any information on Andrew Nicoll (Nichol) and Margaret Sim (Sime Syme) to tie up some more loose ends
What I do have is Andrew is the son of Andrew and Ann Nicoll ms Nicoll b 1856 and married Margaret Sim in 1881 in Barry Angus Scotland They had 5 children between 1883 and 1889 all born Dundee
Margaret 1883
Annie 1884
Andrew 1885
Susan 1888
Agnes 1889
Margaret Sim was born c 1854 in Carmylie Angus parents John Sim and Margaret Fleming
I have found the family emigrating to Canada arriving in 1915 at Quebec on board the Scandinavion and in the 1916 Canadian Census in Manitobia https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KMPW-TDT
and the death of their son Andrew in 1958 in Burnaby British Columbia wife Elizabeth Dobbie
Thanks

THe Manitoba index has the marriage of Andrew Nicoll and Elizabeth Dobbie in Winnipeg on 24/09/1919.
There is also a marriage for an Agnes Aime Nicoll to Thomas Moir Morrison in Winnipeg on 25/10/1917
There are a couple of possibilities for Margaret.

Winnipeg Free Press on July 20, 1925....a very short obituary for Andrew Nicoll. He was 69, lived at 343 Bartlett Ave. He died on July 15, 1925. No family members are mentioned. Says he will be interred in Elmwood Cemetery.

Found an obituary in the Winnipeg Free Press for Mrs Agnes Sime Morrison (so the Manitoba Vital Statistics site is incorrect in saying Aime)... she died April 25 1957 at Grace hospital. She was 67 years old. Her address had been 1163 Ingersoll St. She is survived by husband Thomas Moir, one daughter Mrs George Harris and one son Colin, two sisters - Mrs Samuel Millar and Mrs R Foster, one brother Andrew Nicoll and two grandchildren. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.

Looking at the Manitoba Vital Statistics site, there is a marriage for Susie Nicoll to Robert Foster in Winnipeg on 8/12/1920. Likely the Mrs R Foster mentioned in Agnes's obit

Obit for Robert Foster - he died Aug 5 1955 in Transcona, Manitoba. Husband of Susan. Address was 204 Victoria Ave E. He was 69. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.
If they lived in Transcona... this could be Robert and Susan in 1921

Good :)
I can see from the cemetery site that Andrew and Margaret S are in the same plot. His date of burial fits with his short obit - and there is a note in the paper on July 20th 1925 saying that his funeral is being held "today". The death year from the obit and from the Manitoba Vital stats page is 1925, but the cemetery says burial on July 20 1928. Odd. Must be a clerical error.
Margaret S died in 1918 - according to the Manitoba Vital stats index, and the fact that Andrew is a widower on the 1921 census. However, the burial date listed on the cemetery site is 7/17/1925! A mystery - unless they bought the plot later and had her moved in 1925 after her husband died, so she could be buried with him??

yeah I noticed the difference in death and burial years wasn't sure if they were the same couple wasn't sure if all burials had been recordered or not
