I can read some of it, but don’t have pen and paper to write it down and then type it here.

These things are best posted on Handwriting Deciphering board, I think, to get them noticed.

Ludovick Ledgerwood in Braclay had a child baptized
and named Margaret before these witnesses ________   _________
___  ___________ & James Urquhart  burgesses
         30 May 1832

ditto for the second, i still can't make out the other witnesses name
but child is William and date 14 July 1831

There would seem to be another letter inbetween the 'leger' and 'wood' of the surnames of these children every time (4) it is written.
Possibly a 't' or an 'l' - he is not very good at 'crossing his ts'.
So probably 'ledgertwood'.

The witnesses are arthur Petrie of Newseal (?)
and James Urquhart in Burngrains.

(I can't see 'burgesses' in here).

Note both these place names quite difficult to make out the letters. You may have to do some searching around.

Janice, were you thinking this may have been your Margaret, as per other thread?

I don’t believe it is.

Janice, were you thinking this may have been your Margaret, as per other thread?

I don’t believe it is.

I would agree to this being 2 different people at opposite ends of the country.

I'm assuming "Yetholm, Roxburghshire" was from a/some census'?

What census' do you have her on & what is her age/birth yr on each for an average, when did she die & what was her age then?

What were the names of Margaret's children in order which may give a clue to her parentage although the marriage seems the way to go which would also give witnesses which may help further?

Just catching up...

Is this them with son James, on the 1851 census:

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:SG63-ZMK

On the 1861: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M71Y-FZD

1871: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:V55L-2RV

Looking at names it would look most likely Mother's name was Jane?

I don't think Ludovick would be a contender for father?..

Looks like Rosie has found Margaret!

Might be a Possible birth record
Margret Ledgerwood
20 September 1825
Baptism 30 September 1825
Yetholm Roxburgh Scotland
Father John Ledgerwood
Mother Jane Riddle
