Any ideas appreciated. I think it may be M V Frith, but I wanted some more opinions :)

Where and when was the marriage

Where and when was the marriage
Purleigh, Essex, in 1932

Thank you. There is a death of a Mary V Frith after that marriage in the right area but I am not convinced that is what it says.
I think the first letter of the surname is possibly an L - Lict... :-\
-
I'm pretty sure the second letter is 'r', then 'e' or 'i', followed by 't'.
The first letter is consistent with some styles of 'F', and the last one could be 'h' with a severely shortened stem.
So Frith could well be correct - I can't at the moment think of anything more likely.
-
Could you maybe copy some more of the text of the certificate (for comparison of letters and writing style) including the names of those married (which we might be able to cross check with a transcribed record)? Thanks?
-
If Frith is correct, is this the marriage?
Marriages Jun 1932
Frith Florence E Raven Maldon 4a 1589
Raven Christopher W Frith Maldon 4a 1589
-
Also the possible marriage to match the death I mentioned earlier
Marriage Mar qtr 1907
FRITH Alfred Joseph
GOWERS Mary Vera
Braintree 4a 1128

So that might suggest that mum signed as a witness.
Mary and Alfred are in Maldon in 1939.

Thanks all for your suggestions

The couple are Christopher William Raven and Florence Edna Frith, married 14/5/1932, Purleigh, Essex (in Maldon district). I'm guessing the witness is a Frith relative, but I'm sticking to the mantra of "type" what you see and I can't be 100% sure it says Frith!

Here's the whole record. I notice the bride does her "F" in a similar way to the witness...

So A J Frith and M V Frith are going to be her parents then. They are both on the 1939 in Maldon.
Their marriage was found by Rosie99.
Added: Both sets of parents have acted as witnesses.
