I am searching for information on my great grandmothers side.
She was Mary Travis. She married John Baker and had three children. John (born in India), Kathleen and Elizabeth
Her dad was Joseph Travis and they lived in and around Gillingham, Kent as he was in the Royal Engineers.

She was 17 yrs old, daughter of Joseph Travis.
Both resident at Manora, nr Karachi.

Yes my great Grandmother was Mary and her parents were Ellen and Joseph, but that is all I found out as I couldn't find any other records. I have been on find my past and ancestry. Perhaps I was searching incorrectly.
John Baker and Mary Baker had a son John Baker ( also known as Jack, but no idea where he went).
I am trying to see what happened to that side of the family.

The precise birthdate for John Baker (jnr) was 2 September 1898, according to his Karachi baptism record - this may help you identify him in later records.

Thank you for your replies. I have a subscription to Find My Past ( only got it last month, so very new to this), and I can't find any of these records. Please can you direct me on my search query.
I think I found Ellen McGeary born 31 January 1859 in Dalry, Ayr, Scotland. But I cant find the Travis family is Karachi on my search.
