Title: Harry Whitehead 1940's Conisborough Needs a little tlc please.

A great picture of my uncle as a young boy. Shame about the tape. I wonder if someone could improve it for me please. Many Thanks in advance!

Hi Carol, Looks awesome thank you. I think its a great picture I am not sure even if its a photograph as I dont have the original. Looks hand colored though and my family wouldn't be able to afford a painting in those days. Thanks again. Andy

Hi Andy...It's a hand tinted photo as you can see some over sketching in the outfit.
He reminds me of a print I have of "Bubbles" :

Some lovely restores. I've not done many restores for a while and this reminded me of those school photos that we used to have in strips.

I've put two versions together to suggest this.

As Carole says the board is quiet at the moment, so I've had another go. I stripped back all the original colour and then added some more, I think he looks better without the deep red lips.
