First let me say Hello and Thank you for letting me join.
I have a partial record from WHYTE, DONALD. A Dictionary Of Scottish Emigrants To Canada Before Confederation. Vol. 3. I think it doesn't violate copywrite if I ask one question.
Alexander McGregor (Primary immigrant) arrived in Ontario Canada in 1840 from Scotland. I need to know if he had family with him. Especially a wife Isobel/Isobel/Isobelle/Isobella (Stenhouse). If it's the correct record I will look into buying the book for the rest of the info, but I would hate to do that if he's not my Great Great Grandfather.
Thanks if you can help!

Hi Billie
Welcome to RootsChat
You could try contacting a source owner here http://sites.rootsweb.com/~bwo/can_gr.html
The source you are looking for is fourth down the list.
This request might be better on the Canadian board where some RootsChat members may have easier access/own these volumes.

I can't find a way to reply to each person so will thank you in my Reply under all. Monica, I will follow your link right away and check. Are you talking about a RootsChat Canadian Board?
Rosie, this helps very much. None of the McGregors you list are connected (that I know of) so I'm thinking this isn't my Alexander on this record.
Again thanks so much for the replies!
