Hello,
Today I tried to renew my subscription with find my past for one month because there is a record I want to view that is on find my past, but oddly not on ancestry.
However when I went to subscribe, it only gives me the option of basic and plus subscription for 3 or 12 months, not a single month.
Has anyone had this problem before? Only need to look at one record
thanks

Why don't you get PAYG credits for a single record?
I think they have changed there subs fairly recently.
-
I'll give it a try thanks :)

I found this too. The one month option did come up when I logged in with a different name, but that doesn't appear now with either of my log-ins.
Plus I wasn't even able to find a PAYG option.

Hi sloe gin,
Got the same problem, I just tried to get pay as you go and as soon as I click a link that sends me to payg credits, it automatically takes me to the subscription page and there are no buttons or any links to getting just credits or a monthly subscription.
Is it possible they have gotten rid of monthly subscriptions and that now there cheapest is a 3 month trial for 23 pounds?
I've tried to find the record I want on familysearch, but the search button has been stuck for months, keeps loading but nothing happens
-
That's exactly it, the PAYG link goes nowhere.
Well, they can have a little bit of money from me, or no money - their choice. I don't need three months right now.
-
Have you scrolled down past all the subscription options?
PAYG is at the bottom of the page for me.

Hi Paulinej
Sorry I can't see anything at the bottom aside from the voucher code box

These other threads may explain why.......

When I mentioned this On Twitter I received a reply from FindMyPast saying to contact them and say that I wanted a subscription for just one month. It is worth a try.
-
Do they give a "price list" anywhere which states how many credits it costs to view records? I seem to remember somebody saying certain things cost a whopping 60 credits per view.
-
If you go to the website Genealogy Discount one month subs to FindMyPast are being advertised.

If the page looks like this, click on the black arrow and the Pay-as-you-go options should drop down.

This is part of a reply from FindMyPast Support Team to an enquiry "Monthly subscription options", dated 26th August in section "What our customers say about us" which is at bottom of subscriptions page.
"We are currently testing some new packages on site so not all subscribers will see the monthly subscription option."

I used the customer support online chat and explained I could not find the pay as you go option.
First they gave me a link to the Irish site. Then they gave me a link straight into my account details allowing me to buy 60 credits using my saved card details. Said the option could only be accessed via this link or by contacting them.
Pay as you go if you have not used it before is not available anymore apparently for the UK.
