Title: Died at Stannington Children's Sanitorium 1926 - where buried?
Post by: Tickettyboo on Friday 19 October 18 18:23 BST (UK)
I have a death register entry for
Grace Agnes Gallagher of 56 Amberley Street, Low Team Gateshead
who died on 19th February 1926  at the Children's Sanatorium, Stannington aged 16, cause of death was Pulmonary Tuberculosis.

I've checked all the available cemetery records I can find in Gateshead and can't find a burial for her - which doesn't surprise me I'd doubt they would have transported the body back to her home parish.

The only database on Family Search for burials in Stannington seems to be for the Parish church and searching for the surname Gallagher in there  brings up zero results, so it doesn't look like she is buried there.

So I am still looking for a burial place for her. Could anyone tell me where the nearest civil cemetery to Stannington would be?

Thanks

Boo
