Hi everyone, its been a few years since i last posted on Rootschat, good to be back. Looking for help tracing my Grandads daughter and family, she married into the Peers family, of who Donald Peers the singer was a member, the information I have is from the 1901 census. >
1901 census 40 Ascot st Liverpool
George Hollingworth Peers ( head ) aged 18yrs
Sarah Elizabeth (wife ) aged 17yrs
Sarah Elizabeth Peers dau 3mths.
Kind regards scouse

It would appear that George H and Sarah E Peers had at least 6 children, Sarah Elizabeth MMN was Smith,
George Hollinworth was born 15/03/1883, baptised at St Thomas Toxteth , parents John and Elizabeth of 29 Guest Street, occ labourer
I am not sure what you are after, is it Sarah Elizabeth shown as 3 months old?

Scouse,
What information are you after?
Heywood

H is also shown as a middle name HOLLINGSWORTH, he seems to have spent a few years in Buckingham Street

Thank you Heywood

Previously you wrote
My new cousin has told me that George & Sarah's daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Peers age 3 mths on the 1901 census does not appear with the family on the 1911 census
Unless I am wrong I think she does, aged 8, but I stand to be corrected as always
George H I believe is on 1939 alone

I WONDER NOW ABOUT THE 1911 ENTRY
Found a death of a Sarah Elizabeth aged 3 in 1903 West Derby

I see you are back scouse :)
Are you wanting to go back through George's line - I think some of that may have been looked at already so let us know.
Or are you going forward?
Or is it the link re Donald Peers?
-
Thanks everyone for your input, I will study them a little later, got grandkids for tea
Kind regards scouse
-
No I actually want to go forward from 1901, thanks.
Kind regards scouse

I know that this is not what you want but here is more information re Donald Peers https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=578638.0
I would say that there is no connection between George Peers and Donald Peers (whose name should really be Beers).

Here is your family in 1911 with their four surviving children at the time.

On his marriage, George’s father is named as John, a boat builder.
Birth of George Hollingsworth Peers 1883 shows mmn Dickinson.
1873 marriage John Peers and Elizabeth Dickinson
John Peers gives Liverpool as birthplace in 1881

To go forward, you could look at Free BMD or perhaps Lancashire BMD for marriages of the living children from 1911.
Presumably your grandad’s daughter married one of George’s children.
-
On Ancestry there are 2 trees for George and Sarah Elizabeth, worth taking a look, it appears that these parents had quite a few babies that died very young, family tree should also be checked against your own records as they are someone else's work
George and Sarah are apart on 1939, on Ancestry

Hi everyone, having a nightmare at the moment, keep losing Wfi, so my apologies if I do not reply straight away, and hello to you Heywood, long time. I’m going to have another look at old peers post.
Kind regards scouse.

Hi Louisa, thank you for your help,
Sarah Elizabeth Smith b 1884 Liverpool
1891 shows her aged 7 yrs at Torr St Everton
Kind regards scouse.
Fingers crossed I keep Wfi

Looking at the children on here
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWTX-S8D
Lancashire BMD has these possible marriages
1922 St Polycarp, Everton
Eliza I Peers and William E or H Grant
1926 St Polycarp
George A Peers and Sarah Goodwin
-
It looks as though both other boys died soon after 1911.
As you say, they seem to have lost several children soon after birth.
-
Peers and Hollinsworth families here in Garston,Liverpool present day - I know them both :)
-
Hi well that’s a turn up for the books, do you know if their family tree has George and Sarah in it, from the 1901 census, Sarah Elizabeth Smith being my Grandads sister. Thank you for your help.
Kind regards scouse
-
I will try and see them at the weekend when I go for a pint - PM sent :)
-
I think that George A Peers and Sarah Goodwin is the family you should try to look at, I believe they had at least 4 children if you are chasing the Peers surname
I also believe the Grant family had at least 2 children and showing a member of the Peers family living with them on 1939
