Stamp albums, letters (with envelopes), postcards, even coupon books! He also talks about trying to get the DNA of celebrities this way - MyHeritage are currently trying to get the DNA of Theodore Herzl's daughter, Albert Einstein, and Winston Churchill :o. I would have thought people like Winston might have had a lackey to lick envelopes and stamps though, so I am not quite sure about the reliability of this. Even with mere plebs, they might have got their spouse/child/lover/flatmate to do it sometimes? Also no mention of how much this might cost.

NOTE -  OP isn't quite right, you need to start watching at 1:03:40 for the segment on DNA extraction from stamps and envelopes :P

It's strange that Gilad Japhet (the founder of MyHeritage) didn't mention postcards in his talk, as you'd think it would be far more likely for postcards to survive than actual envelopes. I'd highly recommend to watch the talk through, Gilad is someone clearly very passionate about genealogy, some very moving photos and details of his grandparents move from (what is now) Poland and Lithuania to Israel in the early 20th century, and the tragedy of those who did not come. He details a lot of the facilities of MyHeritage vs other sites, one interesting one that hadn't occurred to me, it allows the rear of photos to be paired with the front, to record notes and annotations.
