My Grandad George Edwards Shelton born 1884 served with Northumberland Fusiliers 1st Bn died 24th July 1916 aged 32. (17877)
Also his brother John Robert Shelton served with 1/7th Bn Sherwood
Foresters died 1st July 1916 aged 21, (265309)
Looking for photo’s of them they were from Nottinghamshire area

Hi Halfmast....if you have access to findmypast and can look at the newspapers, there may be an article about them being WW1 casualty with a photo if you are lucky.

They both died at the battle of the Somme no grave

Yes have looked at several sites ,Northumberland Fusiliers and others

Have you tried tracing any relatives from the siblings of George? The 1911 shows that Arthur and Louisa had 12 children, 10 still living.
There is always a possibility that a relative has a photo.
Have you checked the surname interests section to see if anyone else is researching the Sheltons from Notts?
