Good afternoon fellow RootsChatters
I am hoping to find two burials, both wives of Maurice William Ling of Victory Garage, Ruabon. He is buried at Ruabon with his third wife, his baby grand-daughter and his son in law. I do not believe that these ladies are buried with him as he did not pass away until 1964.
The first lady is Ethel Coe Ling she died in April/May 1928 at the Women's Hospital, Liverpool. Found her - she was buried back in Essex, her birth town.
and the second lady, my husband's grandmother, died in September 1934 after childbirth in Ruabon.

There's a report in the Essex Newsman that the funeral took place on Feb 6th in New Street Cemetery, Dunmow. The body having been brought from Liverpool.

The report starts:
Mrs Ethel Coe, wife of Mr Maurice Ling, of Ruabon.... daughter and only child of Mr and Mrs William Pearmain of New Street,Dunmow......passed away on Feb 2 at Woman;s Hospital, Liverpool, aged 43. Through the kindness of the Rev Norman Rowland, the body being brought from Liverpool, rested in the Manse from Saturday until Monday....

You didn,t mention the name of the 2nd wife - I assume it was Hilda from looking through the death registers.

Yes it was Hilda Frances Elleanor Ling (previously Lincoln)
I've had a search through the newspapers - I can't seem to see anything...

No she was originally from Bury St Edmunds.
My mother in law was some 2 weeks old when she died - September 1934.

Nothing online about burials that recent for Ruabon and no newspaper reports for 1934. I've checked the online burials for Wrexham Cemetery, just in case, but nothing showing. Your best bet might be someone local being able to check the back copies of the Wrexham Leader .
I've just remembered, from years ago, about a considerable number of graves/stones being moved because they were next to the big bend on the old A483 - Pentre to Wrexham - road before it was upgraded. I don't think it would affect the 20C graves, though. I remember the bend as I passed by on the Crossville bus pretty regularly in the early 1960s .

I can imagine that it was a bit of a crisis when she died as they had a young baby to deal with and he and the family must have been devastated ... they had only been married a year 😪
I shall make enquiries to see if the burial register is still with the church.

I've found a report of their marriage in the Bury Free Press - September 1933. Do you have it?
Maiden name - Lincoln.

It's because this is the Denbighshire Lookup Request Board rather than Denbighshire general. Attachments are not allowed on lookup boards.
It makes her death a year later even sadder when one reads the wedding report :'(

Yes it dies; we have recently had a large amount of pictures from my MIL which include loads of her parents .... they look really happy !
