Hi
Ada and Frances are sisters of my Great-Grandmother Fanny Elizabeth (1861-1952) and I am hoping to find out more information about them. Ada was born in Q4 1872 and Frances was born in Q2 1875. However I have no further knowledge about them unfortunately.
Their parents are Thomas (1892-1942) and Sarah Ann Scott (1841-1924) and the other children in the family are - Mary Ann (1860-1942), Amy Matilda (1864-1948), emily (1867-1927), James Henry (1871-1958), Arthur (1878-1928) and George who was born and died in 1881.
Any help would be very gratefully received as although I belong to Ancestry, I think church records for Essex are held by FindMyPast and I would like to know if either married or when they died and where.
Thank you for bothering to read my look-up request.

What research havde you already done on Ancestry and have you found them family on any census?

Essex parish registers are mainly available through Essex record office - SEAX

For future reference Essex Parish records can be accessed on the local ERO site where you can buy a daily or yearly pass.

Their parents are Thomas (1892-1942) and Sarah Ann Scott (1841-1924
is correct as parents there is a big discrepancy in ages unless I am mistaken

Easily found if this is the right child, born 1875 died 1880 Frances Seeley Romford, she does not appear on 1881 so I can only assume this death is correct

Wow - just wanted to say thank you so very much - can't believe the response I have got already in such a short time since I posted.
I am out in 5 minutes so haven't had time to take in the information you have given me but wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate your replies
Thank you again

I have found Sarah A Seeley on all census from 1881 onwards, looks as if she was widowed between 1901 and 1911
All of my research I have done on Ancestry, parish records are elsewhere as has been suggested

Hi from my research Alan Wilby who married Ada Seeley was 17 years older than Ada, his death looks to be Sept qtr 1913 Romford 4a 444 aged 57, no children I could locate from 1906 marriage.
What happened to Ada if correct?

;) By possibly a fluke I found an Ada Wilby remarried Sept qtr 1914 Lambeth an Albert Worthing, I believe they could be in Ilford c 1939.
Ada Worthing b c 1872 dies Sept qtr 1940 Essex South Western 4a 302 aged 68

Hallo Everyone
Thank you all for responding to my request for help with information on Ada and Frances.
Apart from now accessing the Parish Registers as recommended by rosie99 and olleym which I will do as I wish to get the relevant details not only about these 2 sisters but their other siblings - Mary Ann, Fanny Elizabeth, Amy Matilda, Emily, James Henry, Arthur Scott and George - this has completed my details about all these children.
I had managed to research their siblings without problems on Ancestry but had found problems with Ada and Frances.
Can I especially mention Keyboard86, Louisa Maud and Suzard for their help and information for such wonderful research - so much so it has taken me most of this morning to add all the relevant records to my family tree.
As previously I have received such wonderful help it encourages me to ask again if I need to enhance my Family History Research - so many thanks for the responses and also to everyone that bothered to read my post.

Hi and best of luck in your research from me!
To help out I believe you will find that the Alan Wilby was a Widower when he married Ada in 1906, he married a Maria Nottage on 27th April 1880 St Luke, Hackney ( Original on Ancestry )

Hi Keyboard 86
Because of your help in my research, I managed to find the earlier marriage this afternoon on Ancestry - so good to know that I had found the correct record - I would never have managed this without the help from the Rootschat site and all its members - so many thanks again. Cheers
